The NHCC works with all levels of government to advance opportunities for people living with brain conditions, their families and caregivers to live the highest quality of life possible.

Through extensive consultation, the following themes have emerged as priority areas for action:

    • Reduced stigma achieved by shifting public values and attitudes

    • Assisted living technologies to enable better living
    • Smart homes, accessible education and workplaces
    • Flexible transportation systems and housing programs
  • Supported Caregivers
    • Whose role is valued
    • Supported sufficiently to maintain their own health and financial stability
  • Shared Knowledge
    • Commitment to research and to moving evidence into practice
    • Reliable medical and decision support information
    • Engaged on-line community
