The National Population Health Study of Neurological Conditions (the Study) is funded by the Government of Canada and is jointly governed by the federal health portfolio (PHAC, Health Canada, CIHR) and the NHCC. The total commitment to the project is $15M over four years, beginning April 1, 2009 and ending March 31, 2013.
The Study is governed by an Implementation Committee that reports to Kim Elmslie, Director General of Chronic Disease (PHAC). This Implementation Committee is a joint decision-making committee with representation from PHAC, CIHR, Health Canada and the NHCC. The Implementation Committee is co-chaired by PHAC and the NHCC.
The Study receives guidance and support from five Expert Advisory Groups.
