The National Population Health Study of Neurological Conditions (the Study) kicked-off with an extensive stakeholder consultation, followed by two researcher workshops to shape the areas of investigation and key issues to be addressed. Many of you were involved in this process and we remain grateful for your support and active participation.
Annual Progress Meetings in 2010, 2011 and 2012 will facilitate the sharing of information across the many projects and teams involved in the Study. All teams must be represented at these meetings.
These meetings will be 2-day gatherings, with progress reports taking place on Day 1 and working meetings on Day 2. These meetings will be an excellent opportunity to gather your team for in-person work, or to connect with other teams undertaking work relevant to your project. We will do our best to schedule these meetings well in advance so that you have time to plan and prepare to make the most of them.
A juried Consensus Development Conference will take place in February 2013, where the findings of all of the work undertaken as part of the Study will be presented. Your team will be expected to make a presentation at this event. The jury will consider the presentations, draw conclusions and make recommendations for next steps. This feedback will inform a final report to the Government of Canada.
Note: Travel, accommodation and per diem costs for these meetings will be covered by the overall Study budget. You do not need to allocate funds for these meetings in your project budget.
